City-specific rental information on Sixt rental cars

General Rental Conditions in Moscow

• Driver has to be in possession of a valid driving licence for at least 2 years.
• For countries not included in the Convention on Road Traffic of November 8th 1968 it is necessary to have a translation of the driver’s license into Russian with an explanation of the category.
• Driver has to be in possession of a passport.
• To hire one of the following vehicle groups, customers must present one credit cards: PDAR
• To hire one of the following vehicle groups, customers must present two credit cards: XDAR.

Age Restrictions

• Driver has to be above 21 years old.
• The required minimum age is 25 years old to apply for vehicles in groups XDAR.

Conditions of Payment

• Rates include:
  - VAT 18%
  - unlimited mileage
  - Insurance TI
• Payment in rubles is conducted.
• Cash payment or Visa, Master Card, Eurocard, American Express und Diner´s Club Credit Cards are accepted.
• Sixt Express corporate cards are accepted to payment, availability of above-listed credit cards isn’t demanded.
• The customer is required to enter a deposit before rental according to the group of a vehicle.
• Procedure of deposit accepting:
  - for vehicle groups ECMR, ECMR*, EDMR, EDAR, CDMR, CDAR, CLMR, CLAR, CWMR, CWAR, IDAR, SVMR, FDAR, FVMR deposits in cash* are accepted. At the choice of Driver deposit amount can be blocked on credit card. On other vehicles groups deposit has to be blocked on credit card.
  - for vehicle groups PDAR, FFAR deposit amount has to be blocked on one credit card;
  - for vehicle group XDAR deposit amount has to be blocked on two credit cards.

General Insurance Conditions

Third Party Insurance (TI)

• Third Party Insurance (TI) is provided for all vehicles.
• Excluded from the insurance is the use of the vehicle for the transport of dangerous goods, if an unauthorized driver has used the vehicle or if the driver in particular, of the vehicle does not possess the required driver´s licence at the time of the event giving rise to claim, if the driver is under the influence of alcohol or drugs, refusal to pass a sobriety check.

Reduction of responsibility

Collision DAMAGE Waiver and Theft Protection Insurance (LDW)

In case of loss or damage of vehicle customer is only responsible for the following amounts:
- 8'000 rubles. (ECMR, ECMR*, EDMR, EDAR);
- 12'000 rubles. (CDMR, CDAR, CLMR, CLAR, CWMR, CWAR);
- 18'000 rubles. (IDAR, FDAR, SVMR, FVMR);
- 38'000 rubles. (PDAR);
- 68'000 rubles. (XDAR).

Customer must provide documentary evidence of insured accident occurrence of contingency. If LDW is not accepted the customer will be held liable for the full value of the car. If lease contract terms and conditions are breached the customer will be held liable for the full value of car. If amount of guarantee is not cover the full amount of damage the customer will pay the damages for the part which is not covered with deposit.

In case of loss or damage of vehicle customer is only responsible for the following amounts: - 4000 rubles (ECMR, EDMR, EDAR);
- 6000 rubles (СDMR, СDAR,CLMR,CLAR,CWMR,CWAR)
- 9000 rubles (IDAR, FDAR, SVMR, FVMR, PVMR);
- 19000 rubles (PDAR,SFAR); 34000 rubles (XDAR)

* Reduction of responsibility to 0 rubles

Delivery & Collection

During Opening Hours

• Within city limits of Moscow to a given address from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m – 1’150 rubles, on request.
  (Delivery = DL, Collection = CO)

Out of Opening Hours

• In the office from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. and from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. 1’500 rubles, on request
• In the office from 9 p.m. to 8 a.m. 2’500 rubles, on request
• Within city limits of Moscow to a given address – 3’650 rubles, on request
• Within city limits of Moscow from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. and from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. – 2’650 rubles, on request
• Beyond Moscow Ring Road - additional payment - 90 roubles per km
  

One-Way Rentals

National

• One-Way Rentals between within city limits of Moscow are available.
  (One-Way = OW).
  
  
• One-Way Rentals between Moscow and St. Petersburg cost 11’250 rubles.
  One-Way Rentals between Moscow and Sochi cost 18’000 rubles.
  One-Way Rentals between Moscow and Krasnodar cost 18’000 rubles.

International

• International One-Way Rentals are not allowed.
  (One-Way = OW)

Prolongation of the rental

• Prolongation of rental period to a given address (within Moscow Ring Road) - 1150 roubles
• Prolongation of rental period to a given address (beyond Moscow Ring Road) - 1150 roubles and 90 roubles per 1 additional kilometre

Cross Border Rentals & Territorial Restrictions

• Cross Border Rentals are not allowed.
• Company has the right not to provide with a vehicle within some regions of RF

Service Fee/Premium Location Fee

• A Service Fee of 1’350 rubles - occurs for rentals at airports.
  (Airport Fee/Premium Location Surcharge = Y)

Extras

Additional Driver

• Pay for additional driver - 180 rubles per day (1000 rubles for 30 days)
  (Additional Driver = AD)

Refuelling Charge

• All vehicles are supplied with the same quantity of fuel as it was picked up and should be refilled prior to return to Sixt, otherwise a charge of 40 rubles - per litre of petrol will apply.
  (Fuel = FC)
